WHY CUSTOMIZE YOUR WALL MIRROR ?

Many people may assume that customizing a mirror only entails sending in a few measurements. While the process can be this simple, customizing a wall mirror also lets clients become designers without having to do any of the work or go back to school. With a little creativity and our quality offerings, you can arrange multiple wall mirrors together to shape a larger wall design, or you can punch-up a drab wall with floor-to-ceiling mirrors. We’ll do our part to perfect your wall mirrors and deliver right to your door.

Enhance dull spaces with clarity and light

Wall mirrors add a great design element to any room, but are especially useful for expanding narrow rooms, poorly lit hallways and tight nooks. Strategically placed, wall mirrors invite light and open spaces. Put a wall mirror at a right angle to your windows to maximize an open feel. Also, by carefully choosing the object your wall mirror reflects, you can repeat accent color and emphasize the object’s visual importance in your decor.

Mirror Thickness and Types for Wall Mirrors

Your design can be achieved not only by custom-cut shapes and sizes, but also different thicknesses and types of mirror. We recommend the following type of mirror for your wall:

  • 1/4″ Clear Mirror

Useful Tips and Clever Design Ideas

Go beyond the framed wall mirror. Home stores emphasize framed mirrors because these are easy to pack and ship, but don’t assume that’s the best style for your wall. Instead browse these strategies for making your custom wall mirror count:

  • Use small mirrors hung in a pattern when a wall (and room) need light, but the object that mirror would reflect is not especially appealing. The larger pattern of multiple mirrors becomes the design element, and the object being reflected becomes obscured.
  • Choosing what your wall mirror will reflect. Aiming a mirror toward nature or other natural elements will add comfort and soothing style. Suggestions include, facing your mirror (or mirror pattern) across from plants, a large vase with flowers, a table-top rock garden, an outdoor garden or deck, a room with a view. The wall mirror could also reflect an interesting piece of art. If the wall mirror comprises multiple smaller mirrors, the reflection would create a new piece of art.
  • Another design strategy is to create the effect of “knocking out” a wall. When placed across from a room opening, floor-to-ceiling mirrors add a second opening on the reflecting wall and the feel of additional open space.

About Frameless Wall Mirrors:

    • Normally installed directly on the wall.
    • Mirror glass is heavy and fragile, so the supporting wall must be well supported.
    • All of our mirrors are “cut to fit” so you can be as creative as you want with your space.
    • Maximum size in one sheet of mirror is 84″ by 130″.
    • Sheets of mirror can be organized next to each other to cover an entire wall.
    • It is always nice to use the largest size mirrors for a “seamless look” but you need to make sure that there is enough access to the space and mirror sheets can fit through the doors and openings.
    • We normally use J-bars or L-bars to support the mirror in the bottom and top. Several different finishes and colors available including: Chrome, brushed nickel, brass and oil rubbed bronze.
    • Decorative Clips, Standoffs and Rosettes are also available. These can be installed either on the corners or through the mirrors for achieving your desired look.
    • We use mastic to glue the mirror to the wall for maximum safety.
    • Decorative edges such as a beveled edge mirror.
    • Concerned about the openings in the wall? Worry no more, we can provide you with cut outs for your electrical outlets.
    • Safety Backing may be required depending on the size of the mirror and number of cut outs for various openings such as electrical outlets.
